Er trat auch mit zahlreichen Brass Ensembles auf, z. B. mit dem „ Fanfare Brass Quintett “, das in Schulen für sozial benachteiligte Kinder auftrat, mit dem Louisiana Philharmonic Brass Quintet, und er war Gründungsmitglied des „ Metropolis Brass Quintet “, als er nach dem Hurrican Katrina in Houston lebte.
Robert Nunez hat auch mit vielen Dixieland Gruppen in und um New Orleans gespielt seit er 23 war.
