Almost exactly 15 years ago on the 5th of December 1997 the formal incorporation of the Berlin Underworlds in the official register of associations marked the start of an extraordinary success story.

Earlier that year on the 22nd of May, in a typical Berlin courtyard apartment, the association was founded by 7 members with an interest in what lay beneath Berlin.
