- Morris dancing existe depuis très longtemps, mais les origines de cette tradition demeurent inconnues; le nom viendrait de "Moorish" (mauresque). Cette danse a surtout une signification à "Whitsuntide" (Pentecôte). Les "Morris dancers" sont le plus souvent des groupes d'hommes habillés en blanc, et certains d'entre eux portent des carillons autour de leurs mollets. Chacun porte soit un bâton, un mouchoir ou une couronne dans la main. La danse est pleine d'élan et les danseurs tapent des pieds, sautillent et sautent en l'air.
