Nach Absage der Runde 11 des Globalen Fonds hat BACKUP Niger und andere Länder bei der Antragstellung zum Transitional Funding Mechanism TFM erfolgreich unterstützt.

In der Übergangsphase des neuen Finanzierungsmodells unterstützte BACKUP 2013 vom Globalen Fonds ausgewählte Early Applicants bei ihrer Antragstellung, darunter Myanmar, El Salvador und das regionale Zentrum für Schadensminderung Eurasian Harm Reduction Network EHRN.

Altogether, five out of nine BACKUP-supported countries succeeded in obtaining approval for their proposals in the tenth application round in 2010. BACKUP and its partners were able to assist these countries in obtaining approvals in the amount of EUR 614 million over a period of five years.

After the Global Fund cancelled the eleventh funding round, BACKUP successfully supported Niger and other countries with submitting applications to the Transitional Funding Mechanism.

In 2013, in the transitional phase of the new funding mechanism, BACKUP supported early applicants selected by the Global Fund with submitting their proposals.
