Eine weitere Strategie zur Verbesserung der Effizienz der CD1-vermittelten Immuntherapie besteht in der Erhöhung der Häufigkeit von iNKT Zellen, welche im Blut von Menschen und Mäusen in relativ kleinen Mengen vorhanden sind (< 1 % der zirkulierenden mononuklearen Zellen) .
