Since then countless pilgrims have visited Absam in order to seek solace and succour from the image of the Virgin Mary.

Zuerst stand das Bild auf dem Hochaltar, jetzt hat es seinen Platz - für jedermann zugänglich - unter dem Wandgemälde der gotischen Madonna.

Seither kamen und kommen unzählige Wallfahrer, um bei der Absamer Muttergottes Trost und Hilfe zu erbitten.
