Das Teilprojekt „ Genetic Epidemiology of Heart Failure “ umfasst den Einsatz bekannter und die Entwicklung neuer statistischer und bioinformatischer Methoden zur Aufklärung genetischer Einflüsse auf Herz-Kreislauferkrankungen .

Im Rahmen des GWAS Konsortiums werden die statistischen Analysen für die genomweiten Assoziationsstudien (GWAS) zu den Phänotypen dilatative Kardiomyopathie (DCM) und linksventrikuläre Hypertrophie (LVH) durchgeführt.
