During his stay in the country he travelled together with the German Ambassadress, Annett Günther, to the KAZA National Park.
This transfrontier park between Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe is a SADC prestige project and the largest national park in the world.
www.giz.deZudem stärkt das Projekt die wirtschaftliche und politische Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung der beteiligten Länder und trägt einen Teil zu der langfristigen Friedenssicherung in der Region bei.
Außerdem fördert die KAZA TFCA regionale Integration und führt zu einer Verbesserung der wirtschaftlichen Situation der dort lebenden Menschen.
Im Rahmen der Eröffnung wurde auch eine Broschüre des deutsch namibischen Park Programms vorgestellt.
