Die simultane Messung von Ereignissen im Neutronenenergiebereich von ca. 1.5 MeV bis ca. 20 MeV bedeutet eine Dynamik von mehr als einem Faktor 50 in den resultierenden Pulsintegralen.
Damit ist nur ein System mit hoher zeitlicher Auflösung und Bittiefe mit geeigneter Nulldatenreduktion geeignet, um Pulshöhenspektren bestehend aus bis zu 5•106 Einzelpulsen aufnehmen zu können.
