Elsa Dorlin is a Professor of Political and Social Philosophy at Paris 8 Vincennes / Saint-Denis University since 2011. Prof. Dorlin was an Associate Professor of Philosophy in Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University from 2005 to 2010 and a UC Berkeley Visiting Associate Professor of Critical Theory for 2010-2011.

She received her Ph.D in the History of Philosophy from Sorbonne University ( Paris 4 ) in 2004.

In 2009, she was awarded the Bronze Medal for research in philosophy by the CNRS ( French National Center For Scientific Research ).
