Die in der Heilkunde seit langem genutzte Wirksamkeit des Salbeiöles ist hauptsächlich auf die in diesem Öl enthaltenen Wirkstoffe Lineol, Campher, Thujon und verschiedene Flavonoide zurückzuführen.
