Es ist eine ganze Menge , aber auf einer Tour gibt es auch eine ganze Menge an potenziellen Problemen , die man mit dem nötigen Werkzeug evtl. reparieren kann , oder zumindest notdürftig flicken kann um die nächste Werkstatt zu erreichen .
Nicht vergessen, je nach Gegend kann die nächte Werkstatt schon mal mehrere hundert km entfernt sein, und das ist nicht nur in Afrika so, sondern z.B. auch in Nevada.

It is a lot, but on a trip there are a lot of potential problems, which one might be able to fix with the right tools, or at least rig it to be able to reach the next shop.
And don't forget that the next shop could be hundreds of kilometers away, and this is not only true for Africa, but also e.g. in Nevada.
