The Federal Environment Agency ( UBA ) has had an environmental management system in place since the mid-1990s.
UBA was the first federal authority back in 2001 to introduce EMAS ( Eco-Management and Audit Scheme ) at its then headquarters on Bismarckplatz in Berlin-Grunewald.
