As regards this reflection, one relevant question is how to efficiently institutionalize the work of ethics commissions under differing socioeconomic conditions.

Furthermore, it shall be asked how the work of ethics commissions can be deepened and supported by a public debate of bioethical problems.

Bei dieser Reflektion geht es zum einen um die Frage, wie unter unterschiedlichen sozioökonomischen Bedingungen die Arbeit von Ethikkommissionen effektiv institutionalisierbar ist.

Darüber hinaus soll gefragt werden, wie die Arbeit der Ethikkommissionen durch eine öffentliche Debatte bioethischer Fragestellungen vertieft und unterstützt werden kann.

Am 10. und 11. Oktober 2005 hat in Paris das Auftakttreffen zu dem im 6. Rahmenprogramm der Europäischen Union geförderten Forschungsprojekt stattgefunden.
