Am Beginn der Münchner Opernfestspiele 2014 steht die Premiere von Gioachino Rossinis Guillaume Tell.

Die Inszenierung verantwortet der junge Regisseur Antú Romero Nunes , die musikalische Leitung übernimmt Dan Ettinger .

Die zweite Neuproduktion der Festspiele, Claudio Monteverdis L'Orfeo, feiert am 20. Juli im Prinzregententheater Premiere.
