Honours List

Cada año, en junio, para el cumpleaños de la reina (Queen's Official Birthday) y para el día de Año Nuevo, se publica una lista con el nombre de las personas que se han distinguido por su labor, tanto a nivel nacional como local. Estas personas reciben una gran variedad de títulos honoríficos que van desde el de Lord o Lady (peerage), el de Sir (knighthood) hasta otros de menor importancia. También al final de cada legislatura antes de elecciones generales, el Primer Ministro propone una lista con los nombres de políticos para los Dissolution Honours. Los títulos son entregados por el monarca inglés en el Palacio de Buckingham.
