- El Boxing Day se celebra el 26 de diciembre. El nombre de este día proviene de cuando los aprendices de un oficio, el día después de Navidad, recogían en boxes (cajas) las propinas que los clientes del taller de su maestro les daban. Antiguamente se denominaba Christmas box a la paga navideña que recibían los empleados.
